This leaked a few days ago and I was SO ECSTATIC that it did that I didn’t even listen to it until right now, as I’m sharing it with you. It is the sophomore effort of unstoppable nu space disco wunderKINGS Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas. Although I haven’t listened all the way through yet, it seems to have a slightly more kraut-rock/yacht-rock beachy flavor to it where their debut was more traditionally space-disco influenced (think a dash of Studio in place of Daniele Baldelli). That being said, it is still an all-over epic cosmic disco album, and L&PT continue to push the boundaries of this exciting and (re)newly popular genre with their measured additions of rock instrumentation alongside lush cosmic synth loops. This album will make your year. Have at it.

This is a brand new album from venerable Italo cosmic disco master/founder Daniele Baldelli. If you liked his historic Cosmic, The Original, then there is no reason to not try this - it’s his first album of fully new material in a looooong while, and I have a hope that it will pave the way for a space disco revolution on the dancefloors over the next few years. Snap it up and dance it out!

The first song is the best song I have heard in a few years. Everything else just falls into place. Minimal Spacey bedtime discothequeno. On Ghostly, one of my favorite labels.

Perhaps the only cosmic balearic creamy disco compilation, no, just the only compilation you will ever need. Right here. It’s full of hits by Studio, Quiet Village, Daniel Wang, The Emperor Machine, Lindstrøm (under a pseudonym), and more. This is ecstasy on the dancefloor. There’s a second volume on the way (but I have it already, and will post it soon), but this one stays much more focused on the style/culture of this type of disco whereas the new one expands a bit beyond into Valerie territory. Also, doesn’t the cover look so fucking cool? I want that shit plastered all over my room.

I should get some sleep - I think this might do the trick. Sweet, creamy dreams. Honeymilk wonders.

Glorious. Absolutely glorious. This is incredibly perfect balearic italo slo disco from one half of the equally exquisite Windsurf (whose other partner in crime is genius Hatchback). You wouldn’t think that something this discotacular could come from LA but it in fact does. First three songs will make you feel just like the titles, and you won’t even have to leave your chair (though you’ll want to fly).

This is a new album from one of the godfathers of disco and its spacey cosmic style. Originally known as Black Devil, Bernard Fevre released a series of disco records back in 1978, where he typefied deep electronic disco. With the resurgence of the cosmic disco sound in the last few years, spearheaded by Lindstrøm, Daniel Wang, and others, Black Devil recreated himself as Black Devil Disco Club (the name of his first album) and released this, Eight Oh Eight, an excellent collection of deep spacey disco tracks with cool vocals and beats that will make you dance all night long. More the length of an EP, and well worth it.
