UPDATE: Link is now 320 kbps version.

Oh also this little gem came out. A lot of hardcore noise enthusiasts (who probably never really liked/appreciated Fuck Buttons in the first place) will disregard this record as Fuck Buttons’ descent into the maelstrom of dance electronic acts that exists in hipster music culture today. This is due in part to the presence of producer Andrew Weatherall, a noted electronic dance music producer with roots in 90s techno such as Orbital, and his own IDM band Two Lone Swordsmen. So, out is previous producer John Cumming (Mogwai) and with him the industrial, tribal beats of their gently harmonious noise. In is the earsplittingly intense anthemic dance manifestos. Their new producer is a prominent but welcome addition to what could otherwise have been vapid reduction of the best (and worst) of American noise over the past years. They were never supposed to be Yellow Swans.

This is an awesome album. With song titles such as Surf Solar, Space Mountain, and Flight of the Feathered Serpent, and electronic beats to match perfectly, they must have been on a lot of drugs between the Street Horrrsing tour and the recording of this and my guess is that those drugs were ecstasy pills. [Don't do ecstasy pills they are dangerous]

Wavves is so hot right now, no need to expand, right? Fun, dirty music in the vain of all that fuzzy rock parents don’t like. What’s A+ about this release though, is that both tracks are cautionary songs about hidden evils. The first one explaining how fun in the sun can ruin your life, and the second about how marijuana will faze you enough to make you forget who and where you are. Kudos to Mr. Wavves for making fun of himself/riding with the devil.

5/5  Sure to come back to haunt you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is noise electro. Shouted/fuzzy vocals, grinding/biting synths and glitchy effects. DIRTY, the best filth for yr ears. Like Crystal Castles but less 8-bit & more grimy & faster/more bumpin’. CAVEAT: the songs kind of blend into each other, which is the album’s kryptonite…but it’s fun, you could probs (even totes) thrash to this.

This is a really good noisey shoegazesque rock album from a band that is irritatingly called women, from canada. i say irritating because it made it a super hard album to find, but whatever, i got it and it’s really good. fans of deerhunter and crystal stilts and wavves and vivian girls should approve. it has some epic, anthemic moments, something the album cover perhaps foretell. also, one of the songs is my birthday (can you guess which one?); it’s not the best, but it’s not bad!
